About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a traveler, not a tourist.

ABOUT ME

Trying to see the world on a budget. I love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and serving others. I love being adventurous, exploring, and finding things to do off the beaten path. Then again, I also enjoy checking out the normal sights of a place to get a better feel for it.

I'm a pretty chill guy, laid back, and I go with the flow. Quite a few clichés there. Anyway, I've got a professional career that I really enjoy, but I still make time to get away and find adventure every now and then.

PHILOSOPHY

Be a traveler, not a tourist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm unable to host in my current setup, but I'll gladly meet up for coffee or to show you around the city! I also tell many of my traveling friends about CS in the hopes they will try it too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-3 days in Northern Ireland with GREAT hosts!
-1 day in San Antonio
-1 day (bad experience) in Tahoe, Nevada (they were all wasted and high when we arrived... left 20 mins later)

acoustic rock, "chill/mellow" music. Think Brett Dennen, Norah Jones, Joshua Raiden, Melody Gardot, Coldplay, OneRepublic, Iron & Wine, Ray Lamontagne, etcI love adventure/action movies.. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, the Jason Bourne series are all great

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate cockroaches and a guinea pig in Peru (at different times, of course), saw a volcano erupting in Costa Rica, traveled Europe, lived in London, SCUBA dived with sharks, skydived (skydove?)...too many things to name!

Teach, Learn, Share

Eat local foods. It's crucial to really experiencing the culture!
