About Me

AS A SURFER
I love to travel, meet new people and make friends. I'm a very laid-back person. No stress with me. I'll do my best to make your hosting experience as easy as possible. Just tell me what you need, you'll get it. If you want to talk all night we will talk all night, if you don't want to talk at all we won't talk at all. You've to work? I can leave the house with you and visit the city and only come back when you are ready. I'll try to come home and be very quiet unless we're checking out the bars together. The key here is _communication_! I'll spend my time discovering the place and surroundings. I'd love to listen to your story. I'm fond of movies, art, IT, finance, and culture and I like to play games, no matter if bar games like foosball, board games, or video games, karaoke. We will have a great time together.

I’m a software engineer but also a great cook, given you help me find ingredients and have time, I can cook something nice for you from my home-town, or even bake the best cake in the world, as you know friendship goes through the stomach :D

If you host me, I _guarantee_ to host you back on my couch if you ever decide to visit Germany.

AS A HOST
You'll sleep on a very cozy mattress in a separate open-space in the living-room. I'll accept you if I like your profile (no need to be verified or have a lot of references) and if you write a nice message make sure to read the "my home" part as well, there is a special word to include in your request :D . If I have some spare time I can show you Bonn, the f* beautiful city, the museums, the night life. I'm not a tourist guide but I'll do my best. No one likes to be treated as a free hostel but if you just need a sleeping place for one night for a job interview or something and don't have much time to speak it’s fine! The best way to get to know each other would be if you could cook a local meal of yours (if you want, even if it is German – the way to the heart is through the stomach – as they say). Anyways, I'll love to listen to your stories. If you like foosball we could go to some bars and play some. I also have lots of video games and board games to spend time if it might happen to rain. Please be aware that I can't always offer my place to stay since work. I will only host you if you also offer your couch or have offered it in the past. I'm happy to see you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make friends, see the world and to allow others to see it.

3 People hosted. Couch-surfed twice. Met a lot of people that became friends through the couch-surfing platform.

Interests

I used to be an Ice-Hockey goalie where I reached competition level back in my days living in Belgium. I’ve spend a few years in the movie industry, you can even find me on IMDB. Then I studied Communication Design in Cologne which is a mixture of Graphic-design, Typography, Webdesign, Corporate Design, Branding, Illustration, Animation, Photography, Packaging-Design, Art, 3D, Marketing and Software Engineering. Yeah, that's a lot. Now I work since 10+ years in IT. 7 years of which I lived in Berlin. I’m not on couch-surfing to save money but to make friends. As mentioned above I love to play all kinds of games: video games, board games, foosball, and all kinds of sports. I also like people and their stories, as mundane as they might be, they widen my horizons. 'Hope to see you soon!
