About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand my horizons and fill a library with experiences

ABOUT ME

I am a geek who's worked all sorts of odd jobs, trying to figure out my purpose in life. I love to read, play games, and try new things. I write sci-fi/fantasy. I am accepting, honest, and interested in people's stories.

PHILOSOPHY

"The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. " - Allan K. Chalmers

I have a simple philosophy of seeing what life sends my way and giving people the benefit of the doubt. I forgive easily and cherish truly good people, who can come from many walks of life.

Music: all sorts - some of my favorites are NIN, Muse, and Protomen

Books: Neil Gaiman, Paradise Lost, Lord of the Rings, many more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate...

Just kidding. But I *have* had a Guiness in the bar Charles Dickens loved, seen the Mona Lisa in person (it's small!), met some awesome street vendors in St. Petersburg, traveled the route Lawrence of Arabia did on camelback, and walked through the Valley of Kings.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm. I know plenty about life in the U.S. and Texas in particular. I am fairly well-read and can offer the occasional spot of wisdom or insight that a person needs - sometimes all it takes is a new perspective.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Egypt, France, Jamaica, Jordan, Russian Federation, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Turkey, United States
