ABOUT ME

I'm your old fashioned nerd, pushing buttons and seeing what happens. But the buttons are people right now, as I'm doing my PhD in communication science (a mixture of psychology and computer science).
I like to live in the moment and not do some fancy plans. If something fails because of this, well, there's always another chance. Or, you know, I should have planned.
My hobbies include gaming, movies, quite a lot of reading, meeting my friends. I played the guitar for ~15 years, but I'm out of interesting songs. The last one I played the crap out was Ocean from John Butler.
Enjoying hosting a weekly pathfinder2 round - I can kill my friends!
I'm not that into sports, but I like teaching the few things that I know about bouldering to interested people. This is mostly how to get out of bed with aching muscles.

I have been to a few countries (USA, Egypt, most European ones). Probably the craziest thing I've done on these trips is playing Techno on a harmonica in an abandoned light house. Or deep water soloing on the cliffs in Mallorca.
I'd like to go visit some more places, especially Porto/Lisbon. A dream of mine is to live in Porto, which is why I'm currently learning the language. It would be awesome to visit Japan, though I'd want a travel buddy for that

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

IMPORTANT: I do host people, but only with a ~day old PCR result, or proven vaccinated. Otherwise its a tad too risky.
Living in an apartment, you would be sleeping on a TV couch/sofa. Pretty central in Aachen.
I'd like to meet new people and be able to fulfill dreams of traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted around 15 times and have been to many meetings :) nearly all of the guest were fascinating, so I'd like to continue meeting strange people.
