About Me

One of the primary advantages of being a college professor is the freedom to feed a wanderlust. I have never tired of seeing new places and meeting new people. I feel that it is unfortunate that we live in a society where we spend more time with people in an office environment who we don't particularly enjoy being with while being able to spend less time with those we love.

I've never been a collector of "things." Instead, I prefer to be a collector of experiences and memories. After all, when I meet you, are you going to be more interested in hearing about something I've bought during my lifetime or something that I have done? Couch surfing gives rise to great stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I suppose I could travel alone, stay in a hotel alone and do things alone, but where is the fun in that? I have every hope that I will meet people who add something to my life. And likewise, I hope to add something to theirs. If this domestic experiment works out, I hope to expand these trips across the ocean. There are a ton of places I'd like to see.

He who dies having done the most stuff wins! Ya know?
