About Me

CURRENT MISSION

...we both believe and disbelieve a hundred times an hour...

ABOUT ME

Hello fellow world travelers! I grew up bouncing around the world. I was born in New Jersey but moved to Costa Rica for a year and then spent about 7 years in Venezuela. I went to high school in Orlando, Florida, College in Chicago and my post-college 6 month trip in SE Asia where I ended up teaching at a refugee camp on the Thai-Burma border for a couple months. I then worked for the next 5 years at one of the best jobs of my life as an educational video producer and digital marketer. I loved every moment of it, but it was time to finally moved on so I quit my job and am now in a big life transition into the next phase.

And now I'm here.

In general, I live to explore the world and the people in it. My goal in life is to experience as much of this earth as I possibly can. I absolutely love talking with new people over a cold beer and a good meal.

PHILOSOPHY

“Faith is Doubt...On subjects of which we know nothing, we both believe and disbelieve a hundred times an hour, which keeps believing nimble.” -Emily Dickinson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Through a long series of random events I ended up teaching English while doing some ethnographic research and peace-keeping research at a refugee camp on the Thai-Burma border for several months. I learned so much but one of my favorite insights was that language is not necessary to make deep and amazing friendships. Human contact is about much more than the sounds that come out of your mouth but is about ones willingness to experience the other as they are.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an open book.

What I Can Share with Hosts

English lessons, good stories and an open heart.
