My name is Tiphaine, a french woman who loves traveling!

After studying environmental geography, I worked for 5 years in Optical Fiber mapping.
In 2017, I left my job to travel to New Zealand and Asia for over a year.
At the beginning of 2020, I was traveling with my cousin Pauline in Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia. What a great experience! Because of the pandemic, I had to come back to France, where I took traditional asian massage courses.
Now I am a self-employed massage therapist.
Currently I'm traveling : Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand...
In May I will be in New Caledonia!

Je m'appelle Tiphaine, une française qui adore voyager.
Après des études en géographie environnementale, j'ai travaillé pendant 5 ans dans la cartographie de la Fibre Optique.
En 2017, j'ai quitté mon travail, pour voyager en Nouvelle-Zélande, et en Asie pendant plus d'1 an.
Début 2020, j'était en voyage avec ma cousine Pauline dans la Patagonie chilienne et argentine. Une super expérience! Avec le covid, j'ai dû rentrer en France, où j'ai suivi une formation de massages traditionnels chinois et thaïlandais. Aujourd'hui je suis masseuse à mon compte.
Je suis à nouveau en voyage: Turquie, Malaisie, Singapour, Nouvelle-Zélande...en mai je serai en Nouvelle Calédonie !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, the best way to discover a country is to meet locals and share their daily lives. This makes it possible to live moments that could not otherwise have been possible. That's why I signed up for Couchsurfing. I want to meet people, to share french culture, to know a country through the eyes of its inhabitants, to learn english, spanish and other languages...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quite my job, leave my friends, my family and my 'home sweet home' to go at the other end of the world... One year in New Zealand, and then a trip around South America!

An other amazing experience: In June 2017, I joined my cousin in the Dominican Republic, near the capital Santo Domingo. She works for a foundation that takes care of street children. I helped him in the home where these children lived, living in a poor environment with very difficult living conditions. I did some mathematics classes for the younger ones and organized sports activities. It was a unforgettable experience.

En juin 2017, j'ai rejoins ma cousine en République Dominicaine, près de la capitale Saint-Domingue. Elle travaille pour une fondation qui s'occupe des enfants de la rue. Je l'ai aidé au foyer où vivent ces enfants qui ont vécu dans un milieu pauvre avec des conditions de vie très difficiles. J'ai fais des cours de mathématiques aux plus jeunes et animer des activités sportives. Ce fut une très belle expérience.
