Hi everybody in Couchsurfing community! I'm Tomoya who is a traveler from Japan. I'm looking forward to meeting you and share great time together.
I have been traveling, volunteering and working around the world since January 2014. I have been around 82 countries so far. But I would love to stay each places long time, so my travel is very slow pace. After this journey I would love to live in the village my grandparents had lived before. I could open guest house, do organic farm, and get some animals, etc. Yes I like rural life than city life.

I'm from small town of Japan called Konan-shi of Shiga prefecture is home of Ninja village, biggest lake in Japan and many Satoyama villages around, and surrounded by mountains. There is not so many tourist yet but I could show you some nice places and how people live in there :)

It's difficult to describe myself. I think myself is friendly, easygoing and relaxed person. I am not party person for sure, but enjoy that sometimes. I also have adventurous personality, traveling around the world with my tent and hitchhiking, going with flow, love being in nature and trekking(have climbed to the mountain of 6100m high ), camping in wildness area, cycling long distance, and visit very remote areas. When I travel, love to meet locals and do what locals do. Historical buildings and monuments are interesting but knowing people, tradition, usual custom, and enjoy communicating to people are best experience for me. That's why I'm on Couchsurfing.

I'm on the workaway and helpx website also. These are websites you can find volunteer opportunity in all around the world. As a traveller I always get a lots of help and kindness from people. -What I'd been doing in Japan-
After I graduated university,I've been working for 3years at Japanese trading company that import fisheries products and cut flowers. And Every weekends I've been to beautiful moutains,rivers,and lakes to enjoy and relax in the stunning scenery of remote area. It was not so bad time, but I took a career break for a few years for traveling to encounter and learn something new. It turned out long term traveling until now.
Now I started build farm on my property in Japan.

Most interesting thing about traveling for me is meeting locals and know how people live in different places. I might forget the historical buildings or beautiful scenery but not the time and experience we share together. I like the word "Ichigo Ichie" means Each moment, only once, never again. That's why I would love to have memorable time with each people. Thanks for CS, I met so many great and beautiful people on CS and became great friends and learned a lots of things from them. So I'm on CS, and I can't wait to have the chance I could host everyone at my place after my this long journey.
