I bought a road bike and I am trying to get into better shape so I can take some long bike trips.

ABOUT ME

I am a mother of four, grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of three. I do a lot of house/pet sitting.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Christian and I believe that the Bible is God's Word.

And He says this in it: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed across the US with my friend, Lauren and am now back home enjoying being a host. And I tell everyone I can about Couchsurfing and how awesome a community it is!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always opened my home to others and have had others open their homes to me. I believe that hospitality is important.

Interests

I like to camp, hike, look at the stars, fish, bicycle, watch movies, read, play board games, I'm trying to learn how to draw and paint, and I enjoy poetry.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies, but I don't like horror movies or movies with crude humor.
I like a lot of different kinds of music, but not rap or screaming or heavy metal. Mountain/bluegrass/folk music is the music of my heart.
I like to read, but never seem to have much time for it anymore. CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Jane Austen, John Grisham, and George MacDonald are just a few of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen some beautiful meteor showers, the Northern Lights, and some amazing sunrises and sunsets.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook and sew. I'm learning to draw and paint. I have a piano, but don't know how to play. I would like to learn. I am also trying to figure out how to play a guitar and a banjo.
