ABOUT ME

Hola!
My name is Vali and I am travelling this wonderful planet of ours peddling my English wares!
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and grew up there.I learned English from a very young age and later moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada to study and attend university at the University of British Columbia. I studied Archaeology there and am a complete nerd about it. Seriously, if you are into archaeology, we should probably talk.
I've always had the dream to teach English abroad and am completely addicted to travelling, so I took off from Vancouver for 4 years to travel the world! I was in France for 3 years and Uruguay this last one.
Now I am back in Vancouver to pursue my dream of being a teacher... we'll see what happens!

PHILOSOPHY

I totally and completely believe in energy.

Ever since I discovered this awesome website, I have been strong advocate of it to my friends and family. It's the first thing out of my mouth whenever I meet another fellow voyager!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had couchsurfing experiences in Scotland, France, Italy, and Romania. All were fantastic! It's such a wicked way to travel and meet incredible fellow travelers!

I've been spelunking in caves deep in the Amazon.
My friends and I, equipped with nothing more than a flashlight strapped to our helmets and some ratty rope, descended into the pitch-black depths of the earth. After seeing some AMAZING rock formations, we stumbled onto a HUGE underground lake.
Somehow, a single shaft of light had found its way down there, and it pierced the surface of the lake all the way to the bottom.
It was incredible because the rocks were such as that it turned the light into a brilliant blue colour which filled the cavern, making it bright as day!
