About Me

After about 8 years living nomadically in a few dozen cities, I've landed in San Fran to root my hitherto uprooted lifestyle and actually settle down a bit.

Just landed a couple weeks ago (July 10, 2018), so I'm still all caught up in finding a home and local work project and the best craft beer bar in town.

Been working in cryptocurrency startups since 2013, have a penchant for psychedelics wisely used, and am working on a plan to live at least a few thousand years & dune surf on Mars.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first ran away from home at 16, I lived for about a year simply hitching hiking and couch surfing around Canada.

If it wasn't for people opening their homes to me, I would never have been able to spend my early years travelling, learning, and having the time and freedom of thought to try and create a life that fit me better than the ones the world had shown me paths to at that point.

I doubt I would have succeeded in creating that life without this website to help me start.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived for 6 months purely by hitchhiking and couchsurfing (and often dumpster diving).

Perhaps not the most amazing, but definitely the most relevant.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, if you've got a business or project, my job is to growth hack startups. I've helped raise $153m USD in 2.5 hours with a blockchain project called Bancor, I've gotten projects on Lifehacker & The Daily Mail & TechCrunch, and other stuff like that. Always enjoy getting to explore & mentally tweak a new businesses process a bit.

I also hear I make a good adventure companion. Last week (as of writing this) I did a 3 day bicycle journey from San Fran to the Ephemerisle Festival in the Sacramento River Delta, sleeping in my hammock under bridges and whatnot on the way. Before this I'd never done a long term cycling trip. So yeah point is hobo life seems to have acclimated me to hard journeys.
