ABOUT ME

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everytime I surf, a completely unique expereince is created...which makes CS the best way to travel. I've hosted a few times in the states and can't wait to do that more! So, please let me know if you need somewhere to stay in the Heart of America!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed mostly in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia). Surfing for 3 weeks out of the month I travelled in Ethiopia was amazing. Thank you so much to all my Habesha hosts!

Interests

Anything new I can experience I'll try at least once...anything. I love being active, mostly doing things outside. And I'm always ready for any kind of spontaneous dancing!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching a good independent film and you can almost never go wrong with comedy...almost. I enjoy most music according to my mood (all except that screaming metal music that gives me a headache). I enjoy the torture of curling up with good libros that make me want to cry, mostly historical fiction and personal adventure stories. SUM by David Eagleman and The United States of Africa are a couple of my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crying as I left after 2 years of life in Malawi as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
Feeling connections I never thought possible after being able to communicate in a language other than English.
Climbing Kilimanjaro with some of my best friends was also PRETTY amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to practice catching things in your mouth from long distances, I can help you with that. If you want to go on long bike rides, come see me.
If you have an amazing recipe that you'd like to teach me how to prepare, I'd love to learn...and of course eat.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Greece, Haiti, Hungary, Jamaica, Kenya, Malawi, Mexico, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Tanzania, United Kingdom, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Malawi, Mexico, United States
