About Me

Hey guys,
I'm Verena from Austria, 20 years old and a passionate traveler.
I'm currently travelling aroud the world and I'm always looking forward to meeting new people, getting to know who they are and what interesting stories they go to tell.

I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do in life. Thinking about studying tourism management or marine biology.

I'm respectful about other peoples opinions and their privacy as long as they do the same with mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of staying at someones place and get to know their way of living. There is no easier way than staying with a local to find out about the area you're staying in, see all these secret (also) non-touristy spots and learn about the culture and the people.

And I'm not gonna lie: I enjoy the fact of a free accommodation - it's enables me to continue my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Altternative and Oldies, but I'm very open minded to almost every style of music.

Movies: I really suck at watching Movies and remembering them, but I have learned that I need to watch way more classics and in general good movies. So if you are a moviephantic, I'd love you to introduce me to the film world out there.

Series: Like probably most girls I have watched Series like Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liar, but usually I'm more into Series like Stranger Things, Black Mirror and I kind of got forced to watch Rick and Morty with my friends and I to be honest it's absolutely hilarious. Another classics I've watched and loved are How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory and of course Friends.

Books: I'm a huge fan of Jo Nesbo and especially of his masterpiece Snowman.
Currently reading the last Book of his Harry Hole Serie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm ridiculously lucky to have seen many many amazing things around the globe.

From swimming with sharks (not the great white though - but it's on my list), manta rays,... to visting places like Angkor Wat, Daj Mahal and so on.

I can't wait to experience at least one amazing thing with you!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm love sealife and l'm looking forward to learn more about it. I'm an AOWD - so I love diving and can't wait to be back in the water. I visited India in November and got introduced to Yoga over there - I would absolutely love to learn more about and if you are interested I can show you what I know so far.

I went bouldering for the first time a few days ago and would love to get more skills - so if you do rock climbing and bouldering I'm down (but don't be disappointed - I'm super weak and suck)

Sharing is caring: So I'd love to tell you stories about what I've experienced so far and I can't wait to hear yours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Many many stories about my last few months travelling and having fun. I might be shy at the beginning but I'm very open minded and love to listen to other people's stories. I'd consider myself as an easy traveller, so we shouldn't have any problems.

I'd love to learn/try some of your favourite dishes - so I'm done to help you in the kitchen as well.
