About Me

ABOUT ME

I consider myself as an easy going and relaxed guy who just want to be in every little place of this massive world we have. I just graduated from Medicine School in San José, Costa Rica and I have to take advantage of every few free time I have. I am a quiet person who love to sit and read a book, watch a movie or take a nap but also sometimes I'm the mood for some drinks.

I'm that kind of person who has to take a picture of absolutely everything when I'm travelling (you never know when you'll get alzheimer and you need pictures to remember what an awesome life you had) (In the worst of the cases).

I've been always thinking about travelling but it wasnt until 2013 when I decided to start doing something about it so I went to Australia for 5 months and the intrigue of how's the world out there started to grow and grow and I dont see the end of it any time soon.

PHILOSOPHY
We all need good and bad experiences, so we shouldnt let our worries to stand in the middle of our learning-how-to-live process.

We all have something to teach and something to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All the people I've hosted have been amazing. but in the other hand being the guest is a completely diferent point of view of what Couchsurfing is, so I try to host or ask for a host everytime I have the oportunity to do it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted people from a lot of different countries since 2013 and everything has been amazing. I have learnt a lot from each of them. In December 2014 I surfed for the first time during my backpacking trip through the east coast of the United States and I've been also using it in Peru, Guatemala and Western Europe.

When I started I read those profiles who always said stuff like: "Put certain phrase on your request so I know you read my profile" and always found that unnecessary until I start getting really sad an plain requests. You should really read a profile and show that you really want to meet the people and not just to get a place to sleep. I'm not gonna ask you for a phrase or a word, because we all can notice wether you read the profile or not, so just be creative and tell me why is that you want to stay with me and my family!

Music, Movies, and Books

I normally listen to very calm music like folk or indie but depending on my mood I can pretty much listen to any kind of music! Movies I enjoy are the based on real life stories, drama, comedy. One of my favorite movies is The Perks of being a Walflower.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Australia has been one of the most remarkable experiences in my life, not just to travel but to live in a country can teach a lot of things about the place you're in, the people your sharing with and even about yourself.

I've done my university comunity service working with an organization called International Service Learning which I was translating to med students from united states who come to Costa Rica to give free medical care to people who doesnt have an insurance in really remote areas of the city. Helping them to get medication and a better quality of life has been an amazing experience and it makes my passion for medicine grows even more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook although I'm not quite sure of how good I am on it! But I can definitely try it out! I would love to learn some international dishes too.

I took some photography classes so maybe I could help a little bit with that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really try to host when I have free time so I can share with you a meal or hanging out somewhere! I believe couchsurfing is about getting to make friends all over the world and that's what I want to do.
