About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To hear the song of the open road on the wind.

ABOUT ME

It seems I've always done things different from the majority. I grew up homeschooled, taught myself web design while in highschool and started working full time as soon as I graduated, skipping university entirely. That job lasted about a year and a half before I quit for the freedom and challenge of freelance work. About that same time I discovered traveling and couchsurfing, and the rest, as they say, is history.
I honestly believe that a better life means more time, not more money or stuff, and I'm learning to live that out. The earth is my home, and I aim to explore as much of it as I can, even if I have to walk most of it. Enjoying a campfire with friends, watching the sunrise from a train or boat deck, not knowing where I'll sleep tonight -- these are the types of experiences I live for.

PHILOSOPHY

there's only two types of people in the world: those who act, and those who re-act.
- unknown to me.

go big or go home

A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone --Thoreau.

Why live life on the edge, when you can jump off?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have participated by attending the Costa Rica collective and Istanbul Collective, spending time at CS Basecamp in San Francisco and by surfing many couches and attending many gatherings. I lived in Montreal for a while and hosted many Couchsurfers at my apartment there. Recently been living (but unfortunately unable to host) in Vancouver, and now I'm hitting the road again, and looking forward to many more amazing Couchsurfing experiences!
