About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Respect yourself, think proactive, smile (it helps), enjoy life, be brave and innovative, live your dreams, sharpen the saw.

ABOUT ME

I got used to travel since I was little. I was told I had my first trip, to Denmark, when I was 6 months only. Later in time, I do remember my family had a rubber boat and a camper, with which we travelled a lot in Italy and abroad.
The social skills of my parents allowed us to build a network of contacts throughout Europe. So, when my sister and I became older, we were often hosted by locals and, vice-versa, we offered hospitality as well.

My career started in 2004 in Marketing and Communication and since 2008 I have been working for the Tourism Industry, starting as PR and Marketing Consultant and then as Receptionist in Hotel and Hostess on board of cruise ships.

I am a citizen of the world.

I have been in most of the Countries of Continental Western Europe and some cities in East Europe. When I was nineteen I spent 3 months in Los Angeles. Later in time, I also lived and worked for 6 months in Frankfurt am Main. Working on board of cruise ships, I had the benefit to visit several Mediterranean, South African and West Pacific destinations.

In September 2012, I have settled down in Montenegro, where I live together with my fiancé.

PHILOSOPHY

I love people,
my country is the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of sharing experiences and adventures with others citizens of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- A place at the table: I was alone in Frankfurt am Main for Christmas Eve 2010, when a Couchsurfing member invited me to a dinner party at his house, with other guests met through CS. I was very pleased to find that warm and friendly place. That simple act of kindness from a complete stranger was really appreciated.

- A lovely ride on a sled in the snowy forest of Hanau: I was alone in Frankfurt am Main for Christmas 2010, when a Couchsurfing member invited me to join his whole family for Christmas lunch in Hanau. His father attached to his old tractor a row of sleds in tow and offered to the young relatives and me a tour in the nearby snowy forest.

- Ruta Martiana in Palma de Mallorca: last year I had to embark from the port of the Island, so I took advantage of the Couchsurfing network and discovered that Tuesday night tapas and drink route of old town's is great!

Interests

I love to travel, as I can both meet new people and learn from my experiences.

Traveling is an opportunity to escape from everyday surroundings and change point of view. It also is a training, which leads people to find motivation, build relationship, develop knowledge, better understand the physical and social nature of Being on Earth.

When I have some spare time, I love to relax at my place, listening music, enjoying a book or watching tv series on my PC. I surf the web to check my social network news or plan an home makeover. I experiment new recipes for the next home party or I go for a walk in town and have coffee with friends.
Week-ends are opportunity to do things all together, as going out for dinner, meet in a club or organize a two-days trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of good music. I enjoj Miles Davis, as well as the Radiohead. From the evergreen sound by The Beatles, to the last hit by Rihanna, with a special consideration for artists as Nina Simone, the Queen, David Bowie, Bjork and Vinicio Caposela.

I love read, handbook on business or human sciences. And novels. The last story that had catched my heart was "A Song of Ice and Fire" (series of epic fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin), which I heartily recommend,

I prefer tv series than movies. However, I appreciate some films by: Monty Python, Satoshi Kon, Hayao Miyazaki, Dysney productions and ... well, mostly I watch animated films and comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have many stories to tell you... but I would like to listen yours too.
so... we´ll talk about it, when we´ll meet with a warm cup of coffee and a piece of cake :-)
