About Me

I have learned Spanish, French, Arabic, and Chinese. I love snowboarding and traveling. I’m also a private pilot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted in the U.S. and I have been hosted in France. I'm usually pretty busy working, but if I am able to accept your request I will. Unfortunately due to the high volume of requests I don't respond to each one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch Surfing saved my last trip to France. I was able to afford to stay in France much longer and see lots of cities I otherwise wouldn't have seen. And I met lots of great people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch tons of movies and shows. I don't read many books, but I like the Economist and other newspapers and magazines. I like all kinds of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to own a bike tour and rental company. Meeting new people and spending the day touring with them on bicycles as a job was a blast. I sold the business, spent some time in France as a WWOOFer and a Couchsurfer. Since leaving my home stare of Texas, I have lived and worked in California, Chicago, North Carolina, and finally Tacoma.

Living in Tacoma is great. Seattle is a short drive away, and there is a train and bus if you need to get there as a couch surfer. But Tacoma also has a lot to offer. There are a lot of young professionals in my neighborhood and most of the housing is either new and modern or old and historical.

One of the most remarkable things I've seen in my travels is the Pont du Gard. The combination of marveling at the ancient engineering while enjoying the atmosphere of people lounging, swimming, and sunbathing along the small river, as countless others have done for thousands of years, was truly awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: golf, one of the languages I know, snowboarding, wakeboarding

Learn: languages, instruments, whatever you're offering

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a spare room with a twin bed as well as a foldout couch that could sleep one comfortably or possibly two. You’re welcome to use the hot tub on the rooftop deck or my home gym. I have TVs in each room and you’re welcome to use the wifi. Kitchen is fully equipped. I have a small office with a printer.
