“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.

Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover. “

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done all of this since being disabled by a drunk driver. I went Whale Watching and also participated in a racing regatta in Victoria on Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. Seeing the Killer Whales was so awesome that words cant describe the experience and the jet boat ride in was awesome even though is was a rough ride going into harbor.

Sailing during the day and Hang Gliding at Sunset on Biscayne Bay in Miami.

Para-Sailing on the Gulf of Mexico off John's Pass in Maderia Beach here locally. Deep Sea Fishing out of John's Pass. Body Surfing, hiking and having a picnic at Caladesi Island across from Honeymoon Island. You have to take the ferry to get there. Jet skiing on Tampa Bay.

Cross Country drive from Seattle, Washington to Tampa Bay Area and saw lots of western features, canyons, mountians, saw downtown Salt Lake City, Devner, Kansas City and St. Louis just to name a few.

Gone to all the Disney Parks, Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, Clearwater Aquarium, Mote Marine and Lowery Park Zoo. Kennedy Space Center on the east coast.

Have traveled all over Florida and all over the United States. Before my accident, I used to hitch hike from the Carolinas to Boston, MA. and from the Carolinas to New Orleans, Louisana. I would hike all over without getting killed...hehe. Its to dangerous now and having a disability kills that notion. Have flown to Pittsburg, PA and saw the Andy Warhol Museum and that was a wild experience. Flew to Seattle and was going to the space needle but ran out of time. Flew to California to Orange County down around Laguna Beach, CA. Toured with the carnival in Texas in my youth and have been all over Texas. Still plenty to see in the United States and would love to start traveling again someday but need some CS'ers to have accessible homes to visit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of sailing a boat on paper or take them out when my group goes out once a month with me in a dinghy to show them practical basis but I need a months notice to do the practical.

I can teach computer skills to those not so literate computer users or to people who just want to learn more about computers, how to better use the internet and more. For Example, I am learning how to use the computer to be a D.J. and you can build your own radio station later online later if you wish or D.J. in clubs.

I can teach online to other couch surfers how to make their places more accessible for other wheelchair users can couch surf as well. I used to travel all the time and this would have been great for me pending their place was accessible. If people in wheelchairs are traveling that means they are pretty independent or traveling with an attendent so you wont be required to do anything for them except a place to sleep. I could do everything myself as long as I had the accessibility to go to the kitchen, bathroom etc...

I have a lot to offer so just ask me and I will try to answer you asap.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach them how to make their home more accessible and inviting for people with disabilities. It is so important that people with disabilities have a way to couch surf as well so they can get a chance to travel without boundaries and limitations. :-)
