About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit and meet awesome people and places

ABOUT ME

I work as a civil engineer. I spend my free time after work running, playing video games, reading, and just hanging out with friends. I don't party much; I prefer hanging out at a friends or my house and playing board games and having a few beers and some food. I am not a huge fan of crowds.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to try and keep an open mind. I am usually willing to try new things, but if it something I am not down to do I don't judge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this, but I am hoping to meet some cool people, as both a traveler and host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great experience couch-surfing in Paris (winter of '13), and I look to have more!

Interests

My favorite activity is reading. I try to get a run in most days after work. I also play a lot of video games. I like RPGs a lot. I'm also a big fan of board games.

I enjoy playing sports a lot, too. I am not a huge fan of watching, but I love pick of games of Ultimate Frisbee and kickball with my friends. I also really enjoy running. I formerly ran competitively for my university, but have since used my eligibility up. Some friends of mine and I also enjoy hiking and biking on trails and in parks around the area we live in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading is my favorite. One of my favorite authors is Haruki Murakami; his books Wind Up Bird Chronicle is one of my all time favorites and it never gets old. I also love Hemmingway. I also like some of Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I am a big fan of Steven King, and GRR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series is great. I also like Ray Bradbury; Usher II in the Martian Chronicles is one of my favorite short stories of all time.

As far as music goes, I like most all Rock 'n Roll. If I could only listen to one band, it would be Cake. I like a lot of metal, and Iron Maiden and Metallica top that list. Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, and Pink Floyd are great too. David Gilmore is possibly my favorite guitarist of all time. There are a ton of cool bands I can't really think of; I usually just listen to what is on and don't always know who is playing.

For TV: Arrested Development, Daria, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (The only show I actually follow on TV currently)
