ABOUT ME

I'm a young canadian traveler, loving life and in Asia for the first time. I'm having a great time so far but I want to push the experience and go out of the main road.

I'm very adventurous, cool-minded and always able to have a good time. I'm able to keep that even in hard times as I wish to reassure my surrondings.

When It's time to go, it's time to go. You will find in me the discipline that I had all my swimmer's career and the efficiancy of good sutdent

To get out of my books, the mission of this trip is. Before entering university next year in Medical or Engineering, I traveling for three months around China. Why China ? This country always fascinated me since my cousin came back from a six month trip there. I started in Beijing, passed a hard week of adaptation there and got on the road. In Pingyao I met a wonderful danish girl name Solveig with whom I traveled for 2 weeks in Xi'an, Chengdu, Dazu, Leshan and Chongqing. Sichuan and Yunnan province or the main things that I wanted to see in China. After a long time there, I will move my way to Shanghai, passing in Guilin, Yangshuo, Canton, Macau, Hong Kong(maybe) and Fuzhou. From Shanghai, a plane will take to my home town of Montreal on april 14th to take care of education business. First time travelling, still young and invincible, I'm here to discover the world

I wish to be host and to learn from the greatest arround the world as I wish to be one of them one day

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little, I guess. I have been host many times by friends of friends but I just started travelling and Couchsurfing seems like a good way to do it.I'm eager to meet new people: locals, travelers, students, I consider it at an other way of learning.

I wish to have a long couchsurfing career, as an host and a traveler. I'm glad that a strong community of open-minded traveler exist around the world and I want to be part of it

Intereses

I use to be a great swimmer back in High school and I'm interested in any types of Sport, from Hurling to Ping Pong.

The Canadian blood flows in my veins, I'm a nature guy with a profond love of the wild lands

Some people like wine, some cheese but I choose Beer. I'm eager to discover all the kind of beer in the world. "Beer is the proof that god love us and want us to be happy" said Franklin. I'm not a religious person but I'm very pious for Beer

Happiness can be found in very small things. One of my most amazing experience was one of them.

I was 14 and on a 22 canoe trip in east Quebec and we were on day 11, the last day of the first segment. To get a small town where we were suppose to get supply, we had to do an 12km portage on a highway. A portage is where you can carry your canoe and packs on your shoulders to the next lake. A Grunman canoe weight 75 pounds, a pack about 30-40.

We all agree that no one should take a lift or a ride from truck driver if it was offer to us. I was carrying the canoe and a pack and did the first 6km without serious problem. My friends who had only pack and paddle where way ahead of me, I was left alone with my boat. I kept on going, holding to my pride as cars stop by to offer me lift (to be continued)
