ABOUT ME
I'm 100% made in China 🇨🇳(born and grew up there) 😀. Then I worked and lived on the beautiful island Mauritius for 2 years. I used to travel abroad every year except during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Summer is my English name(Chinese name is Xia Liang, while Xia means Summer). When it comes to summer, we would always think about sunshine . So Summer is a sunshine girl, nice and optimistic :)
I think I’m addicted to traveling now. I started traveling alone as a backpacker when I was in university.Now it has become part of my life.I'm always curious about the world,and ready to explore it as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY
1. Live light, travel light, spread the light, be the light
2. Don't run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been to,but also where you are going. Life is not a race,but a journey to be savored each step of the way
3. Don't frown, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING By meeting travelers and showing them around,being hosted and hosting others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2013, had my first couchsurfing experience in Xiamen,China. My host is a girl of my age, we have become best friends since then. After that, I was exchange student in Taiwan, and had great couchsurfing experience there as well. Later back in Beijing,I met amazing CSers from couchsurfing who were visiting Beijing,and showed them around.for example, a French who traveled from France to China by bike, an American who was traveling around the world for one year,etc.

In 2014, I traveled to Southeast Asia,and after graduating from university,I had my graduation trip from southwest of China to India. Wherever I go, there were nice hosts and CSers to meet. We definitely had some great time with each other.

In 2015, I was not active on couchsurfing.

In 2016, tried to participate in the CS in Mauritius and traveled to South Africa for 3 weeks with a CS friend, we hitched together and had lots of fun. Later,The couchsurfing experience in Madagascar was also amazing.

In 2017, hosted and met some interesting travelers in Mauritius. During my two-month trip in Europe+Morocco, I had some really nice hosts in different places.

兴趣

Traveling(Life is a book, those who don't travel only read one page,but I am eager to read all.I enjoy every moment when I am traveling,like making new friends,talking to strangers,sharing stories,learning local culture,tasting delicious food,taking photos ... )

Cooking(I spent much of my spare time in the kitchen and never get tired of it.and would love to learn how to cook different cuisines from all around the world.)

Photography(My camera is a little bit heavy,but it is always with me whenever I travel.Thanks to it,I got many nice pictures with unforgettable memories.)

Meet people,learn different languages and cultures. It is incredibly amazing that we are from different countries,maybe continents. Then we met somewhere in the world and became lifelong friends. I always admire those people who speak three or more different languages and hope someday I can be one of them, so I am learning French by myself now.
