About Me

I'm a student in the Minerva Schools program, spending 8 semesters in 7 cities around the world. Studying physics and computer science, play guitar (quite well, if I may say), cook (quite well, if I may say), and draw (not as well at all, but improving). I like talking about my time in the army (to the extent I'm allowed), and my interests include theoretical physics, machine learning, music theory, film making and video games.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student in a travelling university, I have a lot of opportunities to visit interesting places and meet interesting people, but now a lot of funds to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Beatles, Bach, YES, and a lot of good Israeli rock I can help you get familiar with.
Films: Star Wars has always been close to my heart, but I'm a big movie buff and can't really list my favorites. The Shining is one.
Books: Read a lot of science fiction (Asimov's short stories are my favorite) and fantasy, but lately have been into non-fiction: Thinking, Fast and Slow, and Godel, Escher Bach are good book I've read this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My time in the Israeli army intelligence. Will only tell in slightly more detail, and only in person. I am also proud of being part of Minerva Schools, the most prestigious US university by acceptance rate.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach Hebrew and guitar. I can also casually explain interesting concepts in physics, music and machine learning that I'm passionate about: How do nuclear weapons work? How do air vibrations become music? How can a computer beat the world's leading Go player? I am generally full of general knowledge and love to tell anecdotes (ask all my friends about how I bother them every day with random factoids). I want to improve my Japanese, French and German, as well as just learn about the stories of societies and people within them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Nice nights of guitar and singing, army stories and interesting lectures!
