Hey there! I'm Yuki, a 27-year-old calligraphy artist. I quit my job in June 2023 and have been solo-traveling around Europe since July.

I signed up quite a while back, but I actually started using it in the summer of 2023!

Can you believe I had only 50 euros in my bank when I arrived in Europe? I've been supporting myself by selling my calligraphy arts on the streets, which I started doing way back in 8 years old.

I've already been to 31 countries! When I was 21, I even hitchhiked my way through all 47 prefectures in Japan. I might not come across as your typical Japanese person, but I'm totally in love with the vibes and cultures abroad.

And I spent a year interning in Germany and the Netherlands, so I can manage a bit of German! I'm thinking of learning Spanish too because I really want to explore South America someday. Feel free to hit me up, everyone! 🌍👋

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really curious about different ways of life (lifestyle). I prefer putting myself in the local culture rather than staying in hotels.

I enjoy sharing cultures and exchanging experiences. I'm quite intrigued by lifestyles, so I really love talking about local cuisines and stuff like that!
