Hi, I was brought up in south China(Jiangxi), later finished my postgraduate in north China(Tianjin) and graduate in Dundee, Scotland.
I came to US this year and try to enjoy life here!

I'm an easygoing, enthusiastic person. I like get to know people and learn from them.

PHILOSOPHY

joys, by sharing, become twice it was.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got to know CS from Luna years ago. It was not until last December that I had my first surfing experience in Paris and it was great!

When traveling in china I always atayed in hostels, it felt good, maybe because I was in original country. However, it feels totally different here in uk and euro. During my trip in Germany and Czech, I always felt there is something missing. I saw the cities, the museums, the sites, the food... but these don't make up the spirit of a city without its residents. I really hope to see more of a country(city) from the eyes of the local. And a city become special because of the friends in it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I offered coach once in Tianjin(china). Maybe I'm the one really benefiting from that offer. It was such a sweet menory that I feel warm in heart each time I think of her. That night when I went back home, the girl already went to her next stop. A short letter was left on table, together with an apple! We stay in touch till now.

I value the uncredible trust and friendliness between host&guest, who were strangers before.

Interests

I traveled a lot during four years university period, enjoying the chance to feel something new, explore wonderful place and make friends!
Also love hiking, camping, cycling, jogging, swimming...
I like walking arond in the cities I visit.

when at home, I love cooking(actually I don't cook before moving to UK, I'm an active learner because I enjoy good food!), to feed my stomach; I love reading (I wish I love reading), to feed my spirit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to 22 provinces of china(34 in total)all by myself. I'm independant on dicisions and ideas.

I like to plan own trips for friends and myself. I planed a graduate trip for my class, that is more than 40 persons. I was tired to hell when we come back but I like to participate and make them a wonderful graduate memory.

I survived a 41h train(luckily I have a seat) to Urumqi, met 6 followers, got to know each other and had a wonderful trip in Sinkiang.

I hiked in Tianshan Mountains, for three days in frigid Oct., the hiking went to place nobody live and the most challenge part is more than three thousand meters above sea level. It was too cold to fall asleep, and I heard the avalanche on the opposite mountain. But the night star and sunrise in jokuls worth it.

I tried marathon and manege to make it in 4h22mins, many friends never believe a girl as 'tiny' as me could do that.

The best part in all the experience is that I met people in those hobbies, and some of them become really close friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

culture, people...
I'm grade to share everything about china, as long as I knew it. I'm sure it makes me know more about the place I was brought up. And I like travel stories.

The more I learn, the more I feel I don't know. I believe an unique life consist much more than one's own experience, we get a grance of different life through the peopl we met.
