About Me

I'm 25 years old, a recent college graduate, and a lover of all things culture, music, food, wine, and travel. I'm very independent, funny, outgoing, and friendly. I love meeting new people from all walks of life and making amazing memories.

PHILOSOPHY

"In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die
Where you invest your love, you invest your life."
-Mumford & Sons

"I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent 3 months backpacking Europe making amazing memories and much of that had to do with the wonderful people of couchsurfing who allowed me into their homes and shared their knowledge and kindness with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted only a few times but I live quite far from the city and public transportation isn't as great here as it in in Europe so it isn't the most convenient for people to want to stay here.

All in all, I've enjoyed the experiences I've had so far and have met some people who have meant a great deal to me.

Interests

If I had two pick, I'd say music, traveling, and food are my top three interests. I spend a lot of time at concerts and music festivals; I absolutely love all kinds of music and enjoy going to everything from small intimate shows to huge festivals. I've had the travel bug for as long as I can remember but never planned a trip entirely for myself. I love seeing new sites and meeting new people but I'm not a big fan of busy tourist attractions that are expensive. I'd rather meet people that can show me what life in a new city is really like!

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie, reggae, ska. underground hip hop, electronic, everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Northern Lights will top this list when I finally see them!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be willing to share or teach anything about my American or Arabic cultures. I'll share my languages, favorite dishes, movies, music. I'll share my couch with you if you ever make it to the states.

I'd love to learn a new language, how to surf, how to play guitar (no American has been able to teach me! Haha!), or to make a mouthwatering cocktail or dish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, for one thing, I will never use their place as a layover. I'm very big on respect and understand that the hosts are very much doing me a huge favor of kindness and not the other way around. I have a fun-loving personality and I'm flexible enough to understand and respect what the host wants.
