I work full time at a local restaurant that focuses on wood fired menu items/ sicilian street style foods. They are the only legit Neapolitan Pizza Parlor in Lafayette, LA. The family I work for has accepted me into their own. As first generation Sicilians, they take pride in their roots but also don't fail to acknowledge the culture that has become apart of their adopted identity. I am their staff photographer and social media manager.

BUT enough of that. I am a lady living in Lafayette, Louisiana who is of said "Cajun" decent. The first few years I went to college I studied heavily the culture going deep into the history side of things. I've participated in a few independent research initiatives as well as archiving the young modern-day cajun musicians. I've spent countless hours recording and photographing what seems to define the Cajun land and culture. I've since neglected my truest passion for research and cultural anthropology after leaving the university, but I am to get back to it. My recent travel plans to Nova Scotia, hopefully, will rejuvenate vigor.
