GUIDELINES FOR SENDING YOUR REQUEST

* When sending Your request, please express that You have read the profile. To be sure of that, please write your answers to this simple questions in your coach request:
1) Are you an alien coming to my place by space ship? (no parking space for that!)
2) Do you usually eat bricks? (My house is made of them and I need my roof!)
* Please add Your mobile phone number into Your request with international country code in it.
* If You are more up to looking just a place to stay overnight than cultural experience and getting to know new people and friends, then it's not a place for You - we ARE NOT serving as an overnight hotel, but we are here to build up a strong, mutual friends network all over the world.

WARNING FOR HOTEL HUNTERS! You are going to visit a normal house with a normal people living in it, a family with our every day life, sometimes joyful, sometimes not. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! If You are not up to be a part of the family during your stay, it's not maybe the best choice for you ;) - Don't worry, You will have enough privacy and time of your own as well!

VERY IMPORTANT! WARNING!! I only host for more than one night...to have the opportunity to know the people I'm with...I don't like who simply wants a free hotel, free WiFi Internet connection, or just wants to empty the fridge....

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR MOBILE PHONE!
It is important to have a working (roaming-activated) mobile phone with You when surfing the couch in the house. In case of You do not have a working mobile phone with You, if You have forgotten to tell us the number of Your phone or if Your phone is not working in Italy (roaming service not activated), I'm not able to guarantee Your stay/accepted surfing as I need to contact You to confirm Your bus arrival time to pick You up, meet You etc...

WHO I AM

I am an Italian teacher in a secondary Italian public school. I teach foreign languages.
I love to learn different languages, love to experience new things, love to be friend with everyone...love many other things, not to be missed out, and -as any good italian guy- I love FOOD! yummy! :))
I love to travel and meet interesting people from around the world.

I like reading books and thinking (sometimes too much!!)
I am easygoing and open to just about anything.

PHILOSOPHY

You should try everything once (at least...)

MY HOME

I have a big living room in which there is a comfortable sofa bed.
You will not share the room.
You can have your own private bathroom!

I have also a private gym you may use!

I don't smoke and I prefer no smoker people.
We (my daughter Zoe, me and -most of all- our dog Pandora!) are allergic to cats: no pets allowed.

I work in the mornings, so I'm usually free in afternoons and evenings.

INTERNET
Wi-Fi Internet connection is available in the house.

COOKING
If You wanna breakfast into bed, sleep in the kitchen! :P

We also like our guest(s) to cook for us ;) You may do it on one of the afternoons during your stay to offer us some of Your localities or specialties. We are always up to get familiar with new tastes and cultures and to know/understand You better after that.

ALCOHOL/BEVERAGES

It is possible and allowed to consume alcohol in our premises if You are in a legal age.
We might offer You the first welcome beer or a glass of wine but we usually expect You will feed and wine and dine yourself and us (why not??)on your own expenses during your stay.

We do not accept any drug usage.

Special Cleaning Notice: This house has a Self Cleaning Strategy (SCS)

It means You are always expected to clean after yourself directly after organizing any mess up and to put everything You use back on its place - so the house will stay nice, clean and cosy all the time, for you and for us and for our guests. There is no housemaid in our house.
If You fail to follow our reasonable SCS guidelines, we may ask You to find some more convenient accomodation for You.

There are public transportations: The bus stop is half-a-mile walk. (But -remember- we are in Italy! So it may happens and it happened (!) that buses do not appear......)

My house is located in a quiet position in the countryside north of Lucca, in the small village of Segromigno in Piano.
A very nice area, characterized by a hilly landscape of olive groves: it is perfect for all those who loves walking in natural country side, going for bike rides or simply spending some time in the open air.
