I’m Zubair Chandio, a chemical engineering aficionado with a rich tapestry of experiences spanning academia, research, and the industrial sphere. My journey has been fueled by a fervent desire to contribute to society through education and innovative research. Currently, I’m delving into the world of battery technology at the University of Bayreuth, where I’m exploring the intricacies of lithium and Zn-ion batteries.

My Professional Path:

Current Role: Research Assistant at the Bavarian Center for Battery Technology, where I’m immersed in the fabrication of battery electrodes and the assembly of cutting-edge battery cells.
Past Experience: Lecturer in Chemical Engineering, where I nurtured the minds of future engineers and served as an advisor for the American Chemical Society’s student chapter.
Early Career: Graduate Research Assistant at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, contributing to the development of a Crude Oil Fouling Threshold Model and optimizing lab operations.

My Educational Foundation:

Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas.
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology.

Native tongues: Sindhi, Urdu, Hindi
Fluent in English and basic knowledge of Deutsch, Malay, Arabic and Persian

A Glimpse Into My World:

Beyond my professional life, I’m a traveler at heart, having explored the cultural landscapes of Switzerland, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Thailand, and Pakistan. My Couchsurfing experiences have been nothing short of amazing, especially my memorable stay with Lionel Trebuchon in Zurich. It was my very first Couchsurfing experience as a guest. Initially, I doubted the scope of Couchsurfing plateform and thought of it as just a platform where one might rarely get a chance of being a guest/host. Honestly, when I first subscribed I thought its just a waste of money. But my very first experience of with Lionel Trebuchon changed my perception, and I became a big fan of the platform and I suggest this platform to my friends.

I believe in the power of travel for self-discovery and healing.
