To raise awareness of Land ownership injustice, Evironmental and Socially sustainable ways of living - and more importantly - to live, to laugh and to love!

ABOUT ME

We're a mixed band of people from many walks of life. People come and go, and no doubt one day our camp will cease to exist in its current form and location.

However while we're here we want to share our experience with as many people as possible. We invite you to come and live with us for a while, an invitation open to all.

We all have different reasons for being here but many that unite us. Origionally, the camp was the project of a group that marched from Syon Lane community allotment, to Windsor, with the intention of starting a sustainable Eco-Village. Immediately moved on, the Diggers ended up on a plot of private land adjacent to the National Trust. It's here we have remained since June 2011, having resisted three evictions, there have been no signs of eviction since, if there is, we will let you know! Don't worry. But please contact us first.

PHILOSOPHY

Ours is to complex to mention here, you will have to live with us, but here is a quote from Winstanley, an origional Digger:

"..Yet my mind was not at rest, because nothing was acted, and thoughts run in me that words and writings were all nothing, and must die, for action is the life of all, and if thou dost not act, thou dost nothing,"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted people from all over the world. Many have become even somewhat permanent residents of the village, at least in our hearts.

We used to host through the account of Mark Moon, but we have just created this account. We hope everyone who stayed with us will re-write or copy their feedback on this page! It would really help us out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We as a group have had many amazing experiences with Couchsurfing.. to many to mention here! The best have been those that have come to visit us, from Japan to Australia, to Russia...etc
