About Me

CURRENT MISSION

So I've decided it's time to see the world. After 5 and a half years of studying and working in Dublin it's time to move on. I'm currently travelling around Asia for about a year before moving to New Zealand next year. I'm travelling with my boyfriend Hugo and we're making our way slowly around Asia with a stop to rock climb every so often. I would love the opportunity to stop off and experience the culture of each country while also contributing to the local society or environment.

ABOUT ME

I am a relaxed, adventurous, active outdoorsy person who is up for anything. I've a keen interest in sustainability and I am hugely passionate about the ecosystem of our planet.

I come from a beautiful town of Killarney in the South West of Ireland, one of the main tourist attractions of Ireland. It's famous for it's National Park and mountains, and I spent my childhood hiking the mountains, kayaking on the lakes, climbing or cycling through the park. Living only 30km from the Atlantic Ocean I've spent plenty of time swimming and surfing in the sea.

Professionally I'm a qualified Radiation Therapist and have worked on a paediatric unit in hospital for the past year and a half. I absolutely love working with patients of every age group but have a soft spot for the children.

PHILOSOPHY

Present moment, wonderful moment

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had one experience couchsurfing - in Kuala Lumpur. We had a fantastic time, it was a really memorable experience. To learn and exchange cultures with her was very interesting and I'm looking forward to having more.

Interests

Sport in general - rockclimbing, hiking, yoga, slacklining, swimming, horseriding & long distance cycling.

Environmental sustainability. I'm a vegetarian for ethical and environmental reasons. As a vegetarian I've found a huge love of learning to cook and taste new foods. I'm always trying out new recipes and really enjoy learning from and teaching others around me. I have a soft spot for delicious food new foods!
