Since traveling is more difficult, my current mission is to make photobooks with all the photos from all my travels and to show newcomers in Aarhus around!

ABOUT ME
Currently studying my second bachelors degree, this one's Dramaturgy and I finally feel like I've found my path!

Dear fellow travelers!

My name is Amalie and I am a happy outgoing girl from Denmark who got itchy feet when she was 13.
So far I've lived in Scotland, Denmark, Iceland, The Netherlands and Australia! I love immigrating to a new country, because it's such a great way to really get involved and get to know the culture.
I love travelling in general and meeting new people, I love going to the pub or a bar with good friend or new friends (!), I'm a dog-person, eager coffee-drinker and mediocre guitar-player who loves to sing.
I love having great conversations and being challenged in my views as well. There's of course much more, but that we can discuss over a coffee or a beer :)

Right now I am back in Denmark studying and hitting the travel brakes for a couple of years. I'd love to take people on tours of the city and maybe I'm able to host some time in the near future :)

You can do whatever you want to do, you just have to be willing to work for it

If you just step outside your door every day something magical will almost always happen

If you don't ask, the answer will always be "no"

I participate in Couchsurfing meetings and parties whereever I can
I try and host as much as possible even though not all flatmates are up for it, haha

Music, Movies, and Books

"Eat, Pray, Love" , "Under the Tuscan Sun", I once broke down and cried after watching "The Road" with Viggo Mortensen, because the whole "the world is dead because people killed it" thing scares me a lot

I love Folk, Americana, Irish & Scottish Folkmusic, Indie, Rock and chill music in general. Quite a big fan of Passenger, Sticky Fingers, Scarlet Pleasure and John Mayer.

At one point the angriest music I had on my phone was with the group "Haim".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking around the streets of Rome during nighttime. Everywhere you turn is absolutely amazing, and the lights make it so beautiful.

Going on a roadtrip to Isle of Skye... The entire trip was gorgeous but driving through Glencoe was so breathtaking

When I was 6 years old and was on holiday in France and we found this beach where the waves were like twice my size and me and my brothers just ran into them and were smashed back. Good times!

Swimming with bioluminescent plankton in Colombia and watching the Northern Lights in Iceland!
