About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Freshly graduated from my Master's, I have just moved to Barcelona to work in Robotics, something I always wanted :) Wanna learn Spanish and travel in Spain as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm adventurous, easygoing and always ready to do crazy things! Like riding an ostrich. Or getting a motorcycle to cross the Himalayas during 3 months trip in India. I love hiking and summiting mountains (my most intense experiences were Stok Kangri (6153m) in the Himalayas and El Misti (5900m) volcano in Peru).

When traveling, I prefer no plans and low cost desinations, where people are not all about money or social status but about the simpleness of everyday life. That's why I like to stay with locals and get as close to them as possible. That's why I prefer local buses and hitch hiking over tourist service and local guesthouses over hostels and hotels.

Traveling the world and discovering other cultures is my life-long mission. By the end of the year, I hope to have stepped on each continent! And it's always better with a help from a local!

I'm a perfectionist and sometimes very lazy, but when it comes to traveling I'm unstoppable!

Recently, I got really into non-profit work and sustainable lifestyle. I turned vegetarian and work for several NGO projects and organizations. In the future, I would like to set up a manufacturing company and offer jobs to as many people as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

To make yourself a better day just smile on random people on streets and observe how they react. Harm resolves only in more harm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly surfing, sometimes hosting. Possibly open to host in Barcelona!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed through the US and Taiwan and met great couchsurfers around South East Asia. We are all people and I'm comfortable with most situations :)

Interests

I'm deeply fascinated by technology and mechanics, especially in transportation and consumer electronics. I'm experimenting with interactive book format, I've done two economic textbooks and my own travelogue interactively! Recently I have built my own bicycle and now I'm thinking about starting with 3D printing!

I LOVE FOOD.

I cook every day, recently, it's been Indian cuisine (you should try my coconut curry!). For me, food dominates as one of the most important aspects of a foreign culture! I can go for hours, talking about food and what specialties I've tried during my travels. I've been vegetarian for more than 2 years now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Every couple of months I have different taste for music, currently it's electronic music, previously Daft Punk, before that Linkin Park and before that it was Classic Rock music like Metallica or Dire Straits.

I don't usually watch movies, but West World is a blast!

Currently reading my first book from Jo Nesbo and it's great. I would recommend Jonas Jonasson to everyone, his books are amazing and hilarious!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When 17, I built my own car with my bare hands without any technical knowledge. Surprisingly, it still works (most of the time)! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Study, travel & volunteer. Get out of your comfort zone to set things on the move. Do it asap, do it by yourself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to cook Asian, Indian and Czech food. I can provide you with some dirty words in Czech - always comes handy! I can tell you how to build a car/bicycle or share my knowledge about interactive books :)

I can talk about my stories for hours if you're interested. If you're not, I want to listen to your stories for hours. :)
