Chi sono

Hey there! Im Juan, currently a civil engineering student in Hungary, Budapest! (Super exciting)!. I had the amazing opportunity to apply for a scolarship to study overseas (was always my dream) and here I am! Leaving the dream :D.

Some years ago I started studying enviromental engineering, and therefore my passion about nature and the respect with our mother earth. I'm always trying to have a lower impact on this planet and to leave a bigger mark on people!

I love all kinds of sports, specially soccer, rock climbing and biking (planning to travel south america in my beautiful bike, just finished a trip in all central America and it was truly amazing). I love all kinds of animal. Im a film and music lover. Ich habe für 8 monaten Deutsch gelernt und ich mag Deutsch sprechen gerne. Soy feliz y orgullosamente Colombiano.

SO, for the people who are looking to stay at my place, unfortunately I would have to ask you to mention “banana” in the request, just to know that you at least read the first 3 paragraphs of my description. I didn’t like it when I was a surfer, but now I want people who actually would like to stay here and share :).

I loove cooking, even though I'm not really good at it haha. Maybe you can teach me some :)

To be honest I'm not really good on talking about myself and also rather get you to know me personally, than to write my whole life on this profile..

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a really interesting way of getting to know new people, languages, cultures, ideals, different ways of living... and also to share your experiences with others. It's amazing all the things that you can learn with this beautiful community. If you want to know about a certain place, I think the best way to do it is living there. And what's better than staying with locals?!

It is also very nice when it comes to getting a hand and a warm shelter with nice people while you are traveling.

Interessi

I love any kind of sports and adventures. Im currently insane about biking. I also love listening to good music, drinking some beers with good friends and sometimes go partying.

I'm also really into sustainability and ecology. My house works with 100% solar energy (haven't paid a dollar in energy in years!). Another hobby I have is film making and photography. I take beautiful pictures and make cool videos but I'm still learning (I will always be tho).

Musica, film e libri

I like all kinds of music in general.
My favorite movie is "La vita é bella"
Favorite book it might be "Illusions" form Richard Bach

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I did sky diving and bungy jumping in New Zealand!

I also traveled by myself for the first time when I was 14. Just grabbed my backpack and took a buses from one amazing city to another in my beautiful Colombia.

Hitch hiking in the United States! It was my first hitch hiking and I was full of fears, mostly from friends and family who thought I was going to be kidnapped on the first hour.. However it was an amazing experience and I loved it! I found out that many people can be even rude for even seeing you trying to get a ride and that sometimes can take hours to get someone to pick you up, but the people who decide to pick you up are the most kind and interesting you could find!

Central America by bike!

Insegna, impara, condividi

Enseñar español. Teach you some Colombian slang

I can also share what I know about sustainability and how to be more environmentally friendly.

I might not have the best German or Italian but I can teach you some :).

I will probably have a loot of other things to offer you but if you want to find out let's meet up! !
