About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Hard to say, I'm always changing, growing (though never any taller it seems). I'm always looking for stories and interesting ways to tell them as a filmmaker.

Most people think I'm seven: too much energy, never sleep (but can sleep anywhere).

I'm lucky...seem to get into the most ridiculous, death defying situations and things just magically work out in my favor.

I've based most of my life decisions on the fantasy world I live on in my head - and I don't intend on changing that.

I'm the first child of The TeChNiCoLoR tReE tRiBe

PHILOSOPHY

All paths are the same leading nowhere, therefore pick a path with heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and surfed several times and recommend it to anyone I think would contribute to the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had so many great cs experiences traveling around Europe--Sweden, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Prague, Germany, Spain, and Morocco. I was traveling with 2 friends and our hosts were key to our adventures.

I'm hosted a couple times and that was fun too, though I wish it hadn't been when I was super busy

Interests

Too many to count...depends on the time and day

Music, Movies, and Books

LORD OF THE RINGS (and everything JRR Tolkien ever wrote), fantasy, history, thing Jon Stewart recommends, Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, Carlos Castaneda, Malcolm Gladwell, Catcher in the Rye, Ender's Game, Aldous Huxley, philosophy. I've been reading nonstop since my first Pippi Longstocking book from age 3.foreign/independent/animation/classics; films with style & STORY! films that make you think & feel; directors I really like Kubrick, Michel Gondry, David Lynch, Peter Jackson, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Danny Boyle, Wong Kar Wai, Kurosawa, ...some films Lord of the Rings, City of God, Almost Famous, Pan's Labyrinth, Never Ending Story, Suspiria, Let the Right One In, Shortbus, Annie Hall, The Usual Suspects, old Disney films (despite being really politically incorrect), rifftrax. And sometimes totally mindless/stupid films as well, because there's nothing like watching a trainwreck and wondering how often the crew was thinking WTF!Music I can dance to--so trance/ambient/techno (not shitty electronic, good stuff) Radiohead, RATATAT, The Egg, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Phoenix, Daft Punk, The National, Broken Bells, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Journey, Deerhunter, Xavier Rudd, Death in Vegas, The Knife, Vibrasphere, Edith Piaf, Pink Floyd, LCD Soundsystem...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...dropping out of school, getting a one way ticket to NZ to try get a job on The Hobbit, meeting with the art director, breaking my right elbow, and being swept off on an adventure of circumnavigating the globe in a year...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably tell you way more than you would ever want to know about Middle-earth.

I went to school for film production so chances are I could teach something about that as well.

How to live in a Co-op with 20 ppl. and not lose your mind:)
