I am a man, 42 years old, living in my own apartment. My friends say that I am very pleasant, funny and knowledgeable. Sometimes I may also be silent and shy but that happens often if I am in deep thoughts or don't know what to talk about.

JOB
I have a permanent job as a programmer in a company and have only 10 minutes walk tour to the office.

PHILOSOPHY
Couchsurfing is not about a free accomodation and it is not any dating. It is a way to get new longlasting friendships and connections. It is a way to find common interests and activities but also a way to offer and inspire other people.

MY MOTIVATION
I am on Couchsurfing because I want to show you the secret and beautiful places that mostly local people know about around the mountain and fjord landscape. That could be like sharing great moments by skiing, mountain hiking and other outdoor activities.

HISTORY AND FACTS
My home area which is called Sunnmore, is an attractive area for ski movie makers and it has been visited by celebrities like Bill Gates, Jesse Richman and Kelly Clark. It has also been a site for royalties from all over Europe for the last 150 years.

MY EXPERIENCES AS A HOST AND SURFER
I have been a host a several times in 2017 and four times a surfer. The host experience has been really great. The surfer experience was also cool. Couchsurfing has given me so much like new and exciting international friendships and connections, more social life, positive reviews, less prejudices, more humility, more knowledge and much more. Until last autumn I have been too busy and occupied. In the summer season I stayed a lot of time in my family's cabin in the weekdays and went for camping in the weekends.

SEASON AND COUCHSURFING ACTIVITY
In autumn, winter and spring I spend more time in my own apartment because of temperature and weather. In these conditions I am more flexible and accessible being host to surfers. I really want to be a good host and hopefully give my surfers an amazing experience of the beautiful nature landscape surrounded in Sykkylven, Alesund and Sunnmore. When the weather is sunny, you will probably get memories for lifetime.

SECURITY AND PREFERENCES
Security is really important and means a lot for me. Seriousity and trust are the key for a successful stay for both the surfer and the host. I have been excited of Airbnb, hostels, hotels, camping and bed and breakfast. All these stays have given me a variety of experiences. Now I am excited about Couchsurfing and look forward to get experiences as both host and guest. I want strongly to perform a good impression and get good references. All I want is that you will feel home when you are guest and feel free to be yourself.

FEEDBACK AND REVIEW
If you are able to fill up most of these criterions, you will deserve a good review from me. In best case you will get one review as surfer and another one who would be personal.

TEACH AND LEARN
I can learn other surfers in skiing (cross country skiing, alpine skiing and ski touring). I can also learn you kayaking.

SHARE
I can share great moments in outdoor as starsky, aurora borealis, powder snow skiing, headlight tours, tenting, spring skiing and summer skiing. In the evening, we can play card games. I will also tell you about Norwegian traditions, history, culture and other things and I would love to hear about your country too.

ADDITIONAL INFO AND OPTIONS
In weekdays I work on daytime but you don't have to bore yourself anyway. There are different kind of activities and attractions that you can go to by bus or a walk.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I am not requesting and getting accomodation with hosts because it is free or that it is low budget travelling. I am doing it because I want to meet and get known with new people that seems to have common interests and easy to come along with. Maybe it will be a new friendship or connection for the future? I want to spend my personality, experience, knowledge and skills to make a meaningful, exciting, interesting and worthful time for the host. I want also to make the host feeling interesting by listening to the host’s stories, experiences, knowledge and anything other. I will try to help with cleaning, tidying, cooking and paying for the food, drink and other costs during my stay. I am also willing to offer the host an accomodation in my apartment if he or she wants to visit Ålesund and the area around.

As a person I am well-educated and knowlegdeable, especially in geography, history, politics, technology and outdoor activities. I have a lot of reflections and deep thoughts and I am able to make a deep and interesting conversation. I have also a lot of care and generousity. Happiness and humour. I am also individual enough to give you time and space by yourself. I am independent enough to find our meeting point and do not waste your time and soak up your energy by lacked orientation.

I am also able to share great outdoor experiences and I am always open for new experiences which make life richer.
