About Me

Warning! I'm open minded and honest to a level most mortals cannot handle!

im luckily in the position that i can travel long, far and often, seeing the world, expanding my mind and opening my heart. Meeting new people everywhere I can and making deep impressions and life long connections. share the love! catch me if you can.

(exams till the second week of February, I need all my spare time, concentration and privacy to prepare)

Erasmus Student / Entrepreneur

I could tell you a lot about why I signed up for couch surfing on august 2015, but my words would not accurately describe how I feel. This is because I'm not as eloquent and poignant as this guy:

Watch this video and I have to explain a lot less ;-)

I'm easy going and open minded. I believe in self-actualization. I'm dedicated to reach my full potential. A drive to succeed, love, enjoy and experience life to the fullest. This makes me a busy person, always looking for opportunities to grow, never a dull moment.

Rotterdam is my city of birth, I'm a born and raised city dweller and there are very few secrets that Rotterdam hasn't shown me yet. But due to the nature of living in a big city I'm miss a connection with nature, I hope to travel to enjoy nature in all its beauty, but I have to get out of the city for that first.

Edit: Couchsurfing has showed me that my own city has plenty of secrets still not discovered. By getting to know new people, new perspectives and new idea's I'v learned a lot more about Rotterdam and myself. Wanna go on a discovering journey? :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Due to the many tasks I tend to take on I feel like I don't have enough time to really plan for new experiences especially on a social level. That's why I'm open to accept whatever crosses my path, the most beautiful moments are often those that just happen, at unexpected times in unexpected places. I equally enjoy people that have a mutual drive or interest as well as people that have different interests, experiences and perspectives.

I'm willing to host up to 2 or 3 people. When you come to me I'm more than willing to provide lunch, dinner and/or breakfast, depending on your time of arrival and departure. If you'd like to make use of my cooking skills I'd like to know that in advance. If I cook for you, will you cook for me? ^_^

Interests

I basically like almost everything, and am interested in a broad spectrum of things, to many to mention. There are a few fields of interest that mean a big deal to me. I'll make a small list.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was a teenager at the nighties and when I was young the Dutch Rave Scene was very big, electronic rave and underground music has always stuck to me. It still means something to me but I have a much broader taste now.

I also enjoy classical music although I'm not very experienced and knowledgeable.

I don't really have time for movies but I read a lot, especially things about science and technology. Like the works of : Niel Degrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Sam Harris, Joe Rogan, Michio Kaku, Stephen Fry and many many others.
