About Me

I'm a simple yet extrovert guy who likes to mingle and makes friends of all kinds. Presently, I am furthering my PhD studies in Jena, Germany. I am natively from a metropolitan island called Penang, Malaysia. Although small, Penang has a lot to offer, from its famous street foods, to vibrant heritage cultures, among others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to expand my social networks globally. I hope people of all walks of life would be more than happy to be friends of mine. Apart from Facebook, which I believe everybody has at least one, the additional site like Couchsurfing, would be able to bring people closer together, sharing some interesting yet informative experiences, which at the end of the day, would benefit each and everyone of us regardless of age.

Interests

Am an outdoor person, would like to explore more opportunities to hang out with buddies in a conducive way. Besides, hard-core in work, I believe a balance between play and the former is a must.
I would try to relax by running, and at least make muscle movements in the house, in case of winter season.
I would like to travel and cross the European countries as I had make just a few, thus far, which I hope to expand more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musics by Michael Jackson, Beyonce, The blue, Westlife, N'Syn, Backstreet boys, Kpops and etc.
Adventurous movies like The Martian, The Lord of the Rings, Everest, Transformers, Mission Impossible, X-Men, and etc.
Books like Harry Potter, Alex Cross Hope to die, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing much, but it was my hard-fought golden moment to be able to travel for the first time to 'Deutschland' and also Europe, believe it or not, after acquiring an unprecedented scholarship, and of course without financial support from my parents, something I'm really proud of. In addition, becoming an alumnus of Max Planck Society is truly an honor for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

After more than 5 years in Germany, I have learned the different perspectives of life, living in a total foreign land, to be thousands of kilometers away from my family, and a complete diet change as contributed by Germain cuisine, but I must confess I like the way it is now. Western literally meets Asian cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories in terms of intellectuals, similar interests or past experiences on home or foreign land. Anything other than these, are most welcome.
