About Me

PHILOSOPHY
"Just live!"

Hi everyone,
my name is Michelle. :-)
I am from the Czech Republic. Our beautiful capital city Prague is called "the heart of Europe".
People say I am funny, easy going, responsible, polite and optimistic - so I hope I really am. :-)

I studied psychology and now I am studying to become a midwife. I think it's an interesting, important and a useful profession. My study-field is also my hobby so I am a very lucky person.

I try to eat healthy, but not too strictly. I like high-quality food.
I don't eat meat, but it's my personal thing. I mean no „vegan agitation“, I don't like this kind of approach. Everybody has the right to decide on their own.

In my opinion everybody should try to be as tolerant as possible. I shouldn't judge and criticize others . And I believe that others shouldn't criticize me. ... What a beautiful world it would be. :-)

I am trying to be the best version of myself.

My must-see destination is Japan (I love Japan culture), the north (Canada, Iceland) – I certainly will travel there one day – and more like 20 other countries :D
Well, life is as long as you make it. I hope mine will be long enough to see most of the world… I also hope that one day goverments will accept travelling as an official and well-paid profession :D

In the last few years I spent most of my time studying, working, improving and being busy, busy, busy... And now I feel like I want only one thing. Just to live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is the best way to travel. When I am in a foreign country, I want to see it from many different perspectives. Museum and castles are good, but the people make the atmosphere of a country.
That is why I use couchsurfing. And in the future I hope it will be possible for me to accept guests in my own home.

When you stay on somebody's couch, or even you just go out with a local, it opens your eyes and you suddenly see the place in a different way, not only like a tourist.
I think it's amazing that there is a group of people who are open and willing to share time with "strangers".

Interests

I like to learn new things, there is always, literally always a way to emprove your skills.

I am interested in alternative medicine (I have been studying and practising it for years.) and a kind of “alternative“ approach to life.

Salsa dancing

I spend a lot of my free time outside. In the forest, close the water. It's like a restart for me. It calmes the mind.

I can't have my own dog right now, so at least I walk dogs from dog shelter every time when I am free. I enjoy spending time with horses, too.

When I am alone I sing, draw and dance… it depends on my mood :-)

And this may sound like a great cliche, but… I look at the sky. Those colours, shapes of clouds… How often do you look at the sky and trees? Try it and you will see the change in your mood very soon. ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to share experiences and stories (not only) from my travels with you.

We can teach each other our languages, it's always fun! :D The Czech language is quite difficult though.
This is one of the best parts of travelling for me - improving english and other languages.

I can tell you about Czech temper, history, culture, recipes and so on... or we could talk about how the human mind (and body) works, if you are interested ;)

Unfortunatelly I don't play any musical instrument. But if you do, I would be very happy if you could teach me a song or two... (or even without an instrument :D )

I am something like a nurse, so in case of emergency I am here! :D
