Hey there, it is Ekin here. Briefly i am Computer Science student living in Istanbul.I am in Istanbul from the birth, I know here quite well.
I was able to use Couchsurfing during my exchange year in Germany, and I can tell it went pretty awesome every time I got hosted by someone. The community over here is very welcoming, helpful and understanding to the travelers. I used to travel a lot, and I can really relate most of the situations that travelers had encountered. Since I preferred to focus more on my studies recently, I am not really into traveling far at this point of my life. But I really appreciate anyone coming to Istanbul and wants to meet up. I may not now everything historical about Istanbul, I still know cool places to see, exhibitions to visit, where to take Instagram-worthy pictures and many others.
I like going to contemporary art exhibitions, watching movies(I actually watch a lot) and taking pictures, generally artsy stuff interests me :). When I am with someone if I feel close to them I become very talkative but actually that is a very rare case when I don't feel a closure to a person. Overall I am a happy person by nature.
I am living in Beşiktaş area, unfortunately I can not host anyone, please do not ask. But if you are planing to visit nearby, or just need to have some advice feel free to write me. Any travelers who wants to visit a museum or an exhibition, I would love to join you as well.
PS: I have a +1 free entry nearly every museum/historical place in here, if you are broke and want to appreciate some art just ask me and we can go together.
