About Me

I´m a student, you know easy life. I study economics, some people when they meet me couldn´t believe a study such a dull career. But what can I say, I choosed because I wanted something between engineering and philosophy. I realised the fist year of my bachelor that if I want to work in this field or at least get a diploma I would have to make it more interesting (teacher don´t make it easy tho...) So it´s impossible for me to study by memory I have to look for always for the core of the theories and a lot of background context!
Apart from that I love reading, even though I haven´t touched a book in 2 months thanks to Uni "homework" which absorb all my energy. The first book which i genuely was "On the road" from Jack Kerouac and "Crime and Punishment" from Dostojewski, I haven´t had the guts to try "Karamazov brothers".
Talking about music if I have to be completely sincere I dont have an immovable music genre, my preferences go from Jazz till Southern indie (like Sun kil Moon or L.A Salami check them out;) )
I like doing sports, I try to relate them with nature as much as I can. That´s the reason I like running through the forest nearby my home or doing trekking in the highland.
Btw I´m vegetarian! (well...I´m trying to)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess many people use couchsurfing with the idea of "this way I don´t spend any money and it´s like an hotel". They can´t be more mistaken. I use this way because I really want to sumerge myself in new experiences, new people, new realities, new ways of perceiving life, new perspectives about topics I thought I have reached a clear solution, new opinions, new ways of experience religion or atheism, different ways of approaching to faith...etc. To sum up, to broad my perspective or reality and realise how similar human beings are at the end. I want to keep experience this feeling that we are all made from the same energy, that for instance, nationality is only a label.
Also because I think hanging out with locals is the best way to really know the culture, history and traditions of a region/country. Otherwise you will only take a glimpse of a country, like most of the tourists (in my humble opinion).

Music, Movies, and Books

I think I already give some hints about my music preferences somewhere upthere. My favorite jazz song is "Blue in green" which I never remember if it´s from Miles Davis or Bill Evans. I also like we may say more experimental jazz players like John Contrane (with his experimental album "Interestellar), Chet Baker (don´t mistake with Chet Faker the indie/rock singer). Going to more "commercial" jazzy music I love Louis Armstrong, Nina Simeone with her "Ain't Got No, I Got Life", Billie Holiday..etc. As you can see I can spend hours and hours talking about music..
So now films, I like old film like black and white or even silent ones. My favorite film is "Metropoli" from Fritz Lang. I think that is because was the first film I saw without fall sleep hahaha. Also I like a really creepy film call "Nosferatus" (is from the 20´s) which is based on the novel of Adam Stocker "Dracula". More recent film I like can be Shutter Island, Incepcion or even Colateral Beauty. I think I have a weakness for love films!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don´t really have a great/amazing experience to share here. Well...I think I have a good one. Like 2 years ago I was still on athletics and I had a run the following weekend. The running was like 10 kilometres, so I was quite use to run 15 so I thought I will be okay. The day before the competition I decided to go running like 2 hours to be prepared (I was conviced this way my muscles would perform better) for the day after. When I weak up for the running I had massive muscle pain, but I had to go anyway. Minutes after the race start I realise it was in a montanious terrain something which I had no preparation for. Long story short I reach levels of pain I never thought being capable of experience, and obviously I arived in the last position :(

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my passions is teaching, actually I would like to become a University teacher in the future. I would love to teach you about: a different approach to economics, more related with history, politics, even sociology!
Some philosophy as well, I can spend hours talking about it (one of my favourite philosopher is Nietzsche)
Also I´m quite into meditacion, I can give some advises to begin or some tecniques for everyday life, for instance mind-fullness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider myself a talkative and extroverted person so one of the first things which I can offer is conversation! I can give you a refreshing perspective of the new trend economics theories and even foreseen when the next economic crisis will occur (just to be prepare). I´m a good listener, I love when someone explain a conflict or an event (which I studied on the history course)with the memories of a family member or even himself/herself. I can show my abilities as a cooker and make some typical Spanish dishes, like the world-known "paella" for instance.
I think I will be probably carrying my blues harmonica with me, so we can improvise a music jam on the spot!
To finish, I think I can offer unforgetable memories :)
