I am currently an English teacher at
Golden English course. Sometimes, I also teach Indonesian to some people who are interested in it. Next to teaching, I also work as freelance translator. I have grappled with balancing my love for teaching and my passion for translation, often seen
as conflicting career paths. I knew
quite a bit about teaching and translation via my course and extracurricular work but did not find
any viable professional overlap.

I am fascinated about teamworks, and therefore participate in organizing campus events and supporting friends and classmates. I feel these activities will be the way in which I can make a difference and gain the leadership skills noteworthy to reach my goals.

Besides, I also fancy traveling. By traveling, I learn something I am not taught at school called experiences. Meeting new people and learning their cultures have always been the reasons why I travel across the globe. Furthermore, I have always adored the God's creation and am amazed at how the circle of life appears just before my sights. That is so exhilarating!

Normally, I travel alone, and it leaves me no choices but to interact with other beings at the end, which is good. Moving can also be easier when I am alone. However, companionships will do me good as it leads to friendship, and friendship is always beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I love traveling and making contact with more people, I hope CS will help me find great companionships. Traveling solo is nice, but great companionships are blessings, especially the helpful ones.

Interests

When it comes to traveling, I have always come up with exploring by walking around to enjoy the nature, adore the architectures, learn the cultures and histories of places, and taste the local dishes. Besides, I am a cat person. Therefore I enjoy interacting with cats whenever I see them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to anything, including your stories because I am always listening and always understanding. Recently, I don't really read books as I am already busy with teaching preparation and traveling. However, whenever I have chances to read, I've always read novels or any other interesting books. They're fun!

As I told you before, I am an English teacher by profession. Teaching English has always been my passion. However, I also fancy teaching (I would rather call it "sharing" though) some other things such as Indonesian or Sundanese language.

Now that I am interested in Dutch, so I try to learn anything related to Dutch (language, people, country) or Flemish society.
