About Me

I've been living in SEA for the last seven years, I don't often travel as I'm working constantly. But love to make the most of it when I can. Nerdy and academic, but also adventurous! I love discussing philosophy, ethics, global issues, life and love. So much so that I sometimes run events where our sole purpose is to have a very good conversation. I also love to party, I'm calming down as I age, but I still enjoy the occasional bender and bit of neurochemical exploration. I'm passionate about live music and outdoor festivals. Rock and darkpsy oriented. I appreciate nature in all its forms, but there is something uniquely peaceful and beautiful to me about being immersed in verdant mountains and observing animals in the wild. I'm an avid bundu basher and hope to connect with others who enjoy scrambling in the jungle. I'm a flexi-vegan, so it would be great to connect with other vegans or people who can point me in the right direction of what to eat in their cities. So... food, god I love food, when I'm stationary I cook new recipes weekly and would be happy to cook for hosts. Into all the nerdy things in fantasy and sci-fi, dungeons and dragons, video games, all of it. I consider myself super open-minded to new experiences, and ideas. I can be shy at first, but get a few drinks in me and I'm loads of fun I swear!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah too much! Here are some genres: stoner/psychedelic/garage/punk/indie/alternative rock, hi-tech and darkpsy, alternative hip-hop and a smattering of everything else in between. Even the odd bit of Mongolian throat singing and 80's Chinese communist party music.
Lord of The rings, Memento (and Nolan's other films), Waking Life (and all Linklater's other films except Boyhood), American Psycho, A24 horrors and curious dramas.
Most of my reading time goes into philosophy articles and the like, but in the past, I loved reading all things fantasy and sci-fi. Favourite novel would probably have to be Slaughterhouse 5.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Circumnavigated Cambodia by motorbike solo, while teaching online. Riding to a new city every week, setting up for an intensive week of work and then doing it again. Constant breakdowns, power outages, network issues. One pandemic later and I ended getting my otorbike and all of my nomad gear from the hostel I left it at three years prior.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not to sure what to put here, but I know a lot of stuff about a lot of things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Interesting conversations, a home cooked meal and a good spirit for having fun and making adventures happen.
