My name is Marcis and I am from Latvia and I am 19 years old. Currently I finished Gymnasium and I want to be pilot.. My studies will start in April. Before studies I want to travel around the world only with my backpack and I think it will amazing experience and maybe the best thing I have ever done.

I want to travel just a bit more before I have to stay in the same place for a while. I want to see a lot of beautiful places and make some new friends:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because it seems like a really good way to meet locals and experience the real life in the places I will visit not the life when you go somewhere stay in hotels and go to exspensive restaurants and in this way you can’t see the real life in the country. It's also a very good option for broke students who wants to travel the world without having to spend a lot of money on accommodation. Well, as long as you don't have to verify your account for 60 bucks...;)

Interests

My interests are sports, especially I really like hockey and I am also table hockey player… I really like to watch tennis and sometimes I also play tennis in the free time
When I have free time I am going to run and in the late winters evening I sometimes play Playstation:)

My favourite book is about travelling… Author for the book is Latvian writer who every month travel around the world only with backpack and after vacation he wrotes always book… I really like comedy movies but actually Im not the biggest movie watcher because after 1 hour I always get bored :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am table hockey player for 6 years now and last year was the best season for me and I got into Latvian Nationa Team and I went to Slovenia where was European Championship and I was into junior team and we got first place in the world!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my cooking skills(especially pasta bolognese)… I can teach some latvian language easiest phrases and traditions!!!
