About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make someone laugh each and every day

ABOUT ME

After a bit of a hiatus from CouchSurfing, I am back!

Recently graduated from Berkeley and am working and living in the South Bay Area near San Francisco.

I grew up in the small gold mining town of Nevada City surrounded by beautiful rivers, lakes, snow, and mountains. I am half Swiss, and someday will spend time living in a remote mountain cabin with no electricity. I enjoy playing soccer/basketball, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, reading a good book, DJing electro music (www.listn.to/djdt), and have a new found passion for everything technology.

I am also very open and non-judgmental (have no qualms and actually have many friends of other races, sexual orientations, etc). I respect others and can pretty much get along with everyone. I also find people's religions and political beliefs interesting.

PHILOSOPHY

"Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues."
Bhagavad Gita 3.21

"Never hold a grudge."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Free high-fives and punch and pie along with a couch and friendship.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had an amazing three months of travel throughout Europe and had countless experiences with awesome Couchsurfers. One of the best times of my life, I now have very good friends all over the globe and feel like CS has given me an extended family. I am looking to give back to the community as much as I can so contact me if you need a place to crash.

Interests

I try to find beauty and interest whenever possible.

I would like to learn how to sail and scuba dive.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to ALL music. From Bay Area Hyphy, to Dutch House, to Mozart and Beethoven, to Dj Tiesto and trance, to B.B. King and Miles Davis, to Led Zeppelin, to Elliot Smith, to Coldplay, and... you get the idea.
My taste in books and movies are just about the same..

I have never really watched TV, but I do find some movies to be great. Recently I saw 'Life is Beautiful,' has to be one of the best movies ever made.

The Prophet by Khalil Gibran is the most beautiful piece of literature that I have read. Gibran spent 4 years just writing and editing it because he wanted it to be the best thing he ever wrote. It is a small book but filled with significance and deep insight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once took an old homeless man who was pretty sick out to lunch. Hearing his stories, strife, and the things he has been through really made me feel lucky. Makes me remember that my problems are minuscule and insignificant in comparison.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the drums, guitar, and used to play the trumpet.
I can teach you to play poker.
I dig philosophical talks and interesting delves into comparative religion.
I know a bit about financial markets, investing, and technology.
