About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To work at what I love. To find joy and peace in everyday. To learn something new . To travel more.

ABOUT ME

After retiring March of 2017, from driving a school bus for 30 years, I found the need for more freedom and less overhead. In December of the same year, I sold my brick and mortar Antique shop, of 13 years, and I now, travel to shows and festivals, selling unique vintage and Bohemian inspired items that I have found and or have created. When traveling, I sleep in my somewhat converted Transit Cargo Van and sell out of my vintage 1972 Shasta camper. When parked at home, I smell my Grandchildren, feed my pets and my people, dig in my garden, walk in the woods, go day tripping, make playlists and find and create items to sell at shows, festivals, and local shops. I eat chocolate everyday. I can sing. I am blessed. I see beauty and good in everyone. My mind races. I avoid confrontation. I am an excellent driver and a strong swimmer. I have a bionic nose and ears. I like to feed people. I weave. I wish that I didn't have to sleep. I don't think tent camping is fun. I like to attend county fairs. I don't run. I like High School musicals. I am often too hot. I like to dig. I am a traveling, crafting Junky. I am not organized but know where everything is. I wear an apron almost everyday. Lima beans make me gag. I should have more respect for money. I like crooked teeth. (not Billy Bob more Jewel....back when she was living in her car) I struggle with motion sickness. I believe in a Birthday candle for every year. I am definitely an enabler. I am a cat whisperer. I could live without a TV. I need my "alone time". Nature restores me.

My friends like me because I am honest, down to earth, positive, non judgmental, dependable, creative and I throw a nice dinner party.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I took a European tour in March 2012 to celebrate spending 50 years on this earth. I met with a CS person in Paris and we went to the Eiffel tower and had dinner. In Paris, I slept on the couch of a kind man who is a nurse and a fashion designer. In London I attended a CS Pub Crawl and met people from Australia, India, Ireland and more. In Amsterdam a CS invited me to dinner and we hung out in her kitchen and then walked to a Jazz Club. I have hosted

Interests

I like cooking , baking and gardening. I enjoy yoga, walking and bike riding, I require regular doses of nature. I like to study local history. I like to lose myself in Antique and thrift stores. I enjoy going out and talking over a good meal. I would be lost without music and art. I love to attend music festivals. I like to sleep in my van. I weave and macrame. I love cold weather and winter. I am accepting of all people as long as they are being themselves. Honesty is an important characteristic to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done:
Well, I have been with the same man for over 30 years and my friends, who know him, would tell you (in a loving way) that this is an amazing thing. Opening and operating my own shop was pretty amazing and a pure privilege.

Amazing things that I have seen....
The Sunset yesterday.
The full moon a couple of days ago.
The way the clouds looked like mountains in the distance on Sunday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learn something new everyday and am always willing to share. I am a creative cook and would love to cook with or for you. I am a crafting junky. I could teach you how to crochet, weave, macrame? I could show you how to make a prize winning Dutch Apple Pie.
