About Me

I just came back to Portugal after living many years abroad. What an incredible travelling experience I had after finishing my studies here!!! And now, what an amazing change is coming back home!!! It's like I am looking at things for the first time!!Just beautiful!

The past four years, I lived and worked in that beautiful Switzerland (Zürich and Bern) after making a two years journey by tandem bike with Ivan (in combination with hitch hiking on trucks) from Lisbon towards India (where we lived one year). This trip brought us across Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East (Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine) and parts of East Africa (Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania ...totalizing 34 countries...around 20 000km over land. I guess you can imagine how great and fulfilling adventure it was!!

Before our travel, we lived two years in London a big city nomad life out off our campervan in a ever changing environment, proximity and continuous exposure to public sphere and the street.

For myself living like that was a political statement and a mean to add a stronger emotional impact to my MA research at the time on - Nomadism in connection to Human Rights and the up coming problematic of climate change refugees.

Since we were traveling for so long we decided to be a bit more settled, living in Switzerland, enthusiastically developing our working projects. You can check mine at: www.purpose.pt

Until today, and while travelling, I dedicated my time to advance in Meditation, practicing Yoga, reading a lot and always seeking new cultural and art expressions. My Photo Instagram: agentprovocateur.eu (Reflektor)

PHILOSOPHY

'Everytime I am not travelling I feel like a stranger in a strange land". Jini

'The mind is its own place...you can either make a hell of heaven or a heaven of hell' William Blake

'What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger' F. Nietzsche (Twilight of the Idols, 1888)

'Impossible is nothing' (Adidas)

"Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it." - (Malcolm X Speaks, 1965)

'Thou shalt fight conformism
Thou shalt be the messenger of freedoms
Thou shalt make use of sex
Thou shalt reinvent life
Thou shalt create artificial art
Thou shalt have a sense of purpose
Thou shalt not know exactly what thou dost, but thou shalt do it
Thou shalt give thy love
Thou shalt grab the soul
Thou shalt give something back'
(10 commandments by Gilbert & George)

If nothing else, the weather is fine! Jini

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I am studying Tarkovsky life and work, The Bhagavad Gita and The Essays on The Gita by Sri Aurobindo. I have been learning from the thoughts of Fernando Savater (The ten commandments for the XXI century is a remarkable view on ethics) Andrei Tarkovsky, Lars Gustavson,Oscar wilde,Walt Whitman, Thoreau, Rimbaud, the Beat Generation, Goethe,Baudelaire, Dostoyevsky, Wittgenstein, R.D. Laing, Stuart Hall or Foucault. Some films deeply affected me as Stalker, Pi, Elephant, La passion de Joanne d'Arc(Dreyer),Lucia Y el sexo,The lives of others, La fille sur le pont,Persona,Saraband. Dondurmam gaymak, Yol, Crossing bridges and much more Turkish cinema...I enjoy all kinds of music, from indie to jazz ( like a lot Free Jazz) Classical, Electronic, Trance. I fancy very much Free Improvisation... and the sound of a variety of musical instruments...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a campervan and having to make a distinction between necessary and dispensable things...also the possibility of being mobile and exposed to the street... everyday.

Staying with a tribe (the Hammer) in Ethiopia

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching everything i know, learning everything I can... all about reciprocal change...

I aim to develop my Yoga and Meditation, Shamanism, different approaches on Healing and related knowledge and a few other subjects (Photography, Sound, Mixed Arts, Dance, etc)...to know better International Relations and Politics.
